How to get the FREE beer at the Athens OpenBeer X Event!
Dear Beer Loving Friends!
The process is simple. Get your hand stamped and get your FREE beer!
Well, we all know that…
I NEED A FAVOUR THOUGH
Let me explain.
The OpenBeer Stamp!
Last time we used the stamp method some people that had never heard of us took advantage of our offers by claiming they were with us. That way they drank FREE beer and didn’t even mention our even to anyone.
This time I need your help in order to give away the FREE beer ONLY TO YOU guys, the OpenBeer FANS and nobody else.
So, what I would like you to do, is to send me an email at freebeer@openbeerevent.com with your name and your friends names. I don’t need any fancy stuff like emails, just your names or if you are on Twitter, your Twitter names will do just fine. That way once you get to the Beer.gr stand, you can say your name (or Twitter name) and get your hand stamped and enjoy the FREE beer and all the discounts that come after that. If you are a party of 5, 6, or even 10, send your names all together in one email and I will sort it out.
I hope this isn’t too much to ask of you, but it is a shame to give away FREE beer to people that haven’t even heard of our special group.

Athens OpenBeer X Event at the annual Beer Festival on the 6th of September
Dear Beer Loving Friends!
OpenBeer is back!
Every year in Faliron at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship or better known as ΣΕΦ the annual Beer Festival takes place and many, many beer lovers, just like us gather there for beer tasting (drinking)! As always there is an entrance fee.
This year it is €8 and that doesn’t include any free beer unfortunately. Each beer you drink you must pay for it.
But, hey, I don’t make the rules, I just go there for the beer!
This time the OpenBeer event will take place at this festival on the 6th of September. Amongst other promising beer specialists, our friends from Beer.gr will be there with their own stand and they have promised us some new, exceptional beers! So, don’t think about it, gather your friends and join us at one of the most unique OpenBeer events ever!
FREE BEER OFFER FROM BEER.GR:
Besides the €8 entrance fee to the Beer Festival, our friends at Beer.gr have offered to give all OpenBeer Fans the 1st Zeos Pilsner draught for FREE! Also, for all OpenBeer Fans ONLY, the rest of the Zeos Pilsner beers will be at a discount! So if you want to take advantage of this great offer, make sure you come on the 6th of September and also make very sure that you ask to get your hand stamped with the OpenBeer logo! Otherwise you will miss out on the offer and that would be a shame.
Oh, I nearly forgot, Beer.gr will have Official Beer Pong tables from the USA so you can all play Beer Pong!!!

Athens OpenBeer IX Event at Beer Garden on the 8th of July

The Athens OpenBeer IX Event, based on your votes, is going to take place at the SUMMER BEER GARDEN on the 8th of July 2010!
Summer Beer Garden is located at Leoforos Pentelis & Anapafseos in the Vrilissia area. The entrance is from Kallianou st. (Λεωφ. Πεντέλης & Αναπαύσεως, Βριλήσσια . Είσοδος από οδό Καλλιάνου).

Athens OpenBeer VIII
Dear Beer loving friends,
Sorry for the late post, but work has been crazy and I just couldn’t fin the time to edit the latest video. Anyway, on Wednesday the 2nd of June the OpenBeer VIII event took place at Deutsche Ecke in Zografou! We had a fabulous time!
The Beer was perfect, the place was Magical and many new faces arrived! What can I say, it was great! I will not say more, but let the video do the talking. Enjoy! (more…)

1st Draft Beer FREE at the OpenBeer VIII at Deutsche Ecke on the 2nd of June!

As you all know the Athens OpenBeer VIII event is going to take place at Deutsche Ecke in Zografou. Deutsche Ecke won the honor of hosting the OpenBeer VIII event through the Poll that was active on the OpenBeer website last week! It was a last minute win that was determined by the Deutsche Ecke fans seconds before the poll closed. You can read more about that in our post titled “The Battle of the Pubs for OpebBeer VIII“.

Athens OpenBeer VIII Event at Deutsche Ecke on the 2nd of June
Dear beer loving friends!
This time round the voting was very intense! Even at the last minute the lead switched hands! It was a very close call and a battle to the “death” between the 2 favorite selections, FIRST CZECH PUB ATHENS and DEUTSCHE ECKE! At the end, at 00:00 last night the poll closed and the winner was DEUTSCHE ECKE!
So, it is official, the Athens OpenBeer VIII Event, based on your votes, is going to take place at the DEUTSCHE ECKE on the 2nd of June 2010!
Deutsche Ecke is located at 126 Papagou Av. Zografou close to the 8th Zografou bus station for bus 230 and 608 (Λεωφ. Παπάγου 126, Ζωγράφου, πλησίον στάσης λεωφορείου 230 και 608). The good thing is that because of the many students living in the area the buses come by very often.

Athens OpenBeer VII
Dear Beer loving friends,
On Wednesday the 12th of May the OpenBeer VII event took place at James Joyce Pub in Monastiraki for a second, unexpected time! Why unexpected? Well, the original plan was to have our pints at Ploughman’s Pub, but they didn’t open up on time! Yes, you read that right, they didn’t open up on time!
One day before OpenBeer VII, we called the Ploughman’s Pub and confirmed our arrival clearly stating the time we would be there and also providing a link to the page that described the event. How much clearer could we be than that! The next day we found out that we were talking to a brick wall! As more and more OpenBeer fans arrived, we decided at 21:00 to go to the second best choice from the Poll, which was James Joyce Pub! We went and had a blast!
The service at the place was great, thanks for that Louise! The beers were exceptional and the sausages great! (more…)

The voting period is over and the results are final! The Athens OpenBeer VII Event, based on your votes, is going to take place at the Ploughman’s Pub on the 12th of May 2010!
Ploughman’s is located at 7 Alikarnassou & 60 Lenorman just oposite the Metaxourgeio Metro station (Αλικαρνασσού 7 & Λένορμαν 60, πλησίον στάσης μετρό Μεταξουργείο).
