We had a great time at OpenBeer III that took place at Craft Athens last time! Plenty of proof of that can be found on the official OpenBeer III page!

Anyway, the reason for writing this post is because it turns out that our friends at Craft had as good a time as us. I recently got an email from the brand’s C.E.O., extending his thanks to all of us for choosing his bar to hold the event!

After some discussing, he kindly offered ONE FREE BEER to each one of us if we choose to have another event at Craft in Athens! That is great news! Every one of us will have an extra FREE beer to drink Yummy!

I finally found the time to get to post something about the last OpenBeer III Event. We had a great time at Craft Athens and got to drink many – many beers! I think that this was the best OpenBeer since this thing has started! Many friends arrived and I am going to list you all below. If I have forgot someone or I have misspelled someones name, please don’t feel bad about it, just give me a buzz and let me know. I will fix it as soon as I get your message!

The voting period is over and the results are out! The OpenBeer III Event, based on your votes, is going to take place at the Craft bar on the 10th of December 2009. The Craft bar is at 205 Alexandras Avenue (Λεωφ.Αλεξάνδρας 205, Αθήνα). It is very close to the “Ampelokipi” Metro station, so there is easy access. We will start gathering from 18:30-19:00 and onwards. If you want to RSVP on FaceBook click here.

As promised I have prepared a poll for us all to vote where we would each like the OpenBeer III event to be. All you have to do, is place your vote and see what happens! The deadline for all votes is Midnight of the 7th of December. Once that time is reached, the poll will automatically lock down and no more votes will be allowed. Then we will know which venue gets to host our next OpenBeer Event! The following post will be the one with all the details about where the OpenBeer III Event will take place on the 10th and what time it will start. I guess the time will depend on the place we choose.

As a very good mate of mine always says:

The place you will suggest must:

1. Be in Athens.
2. Be at close proximity to public transport for easy access.
3. Be “friendly” towards our friends with special need, so no stairs.
4. Be open at 19:00 onwards.
5. Serve Beer!

Deadline

The deadline for placing your comment is on Midnight of the 4th of December 2009. The comments of this page will then close.

Once every one has made their suggestions, I will then make another post that will host a poll with all the suggestions made. Even if there are 100 of them, I will make that Poll happen. Then, we will all be able to vote for our favorite place until Midnight of the 7th of December. When the votes have been counted and finalized, I will post the results on the www.openbeerevent.com blog and also create a FaceBook Event for the occasion. In that Facebook event, you will be able to RSVP if you feel like it.

So, the next OpenBeer Event will be hosted where we all want it to be!

I think that by doing it this way it is more collaborative than before. Collaboration gives birth to great ideas so I have a feeling the next Event will be at a very cool place!
So, go on guys and girls, make your suggestions and don’t forget, you only have until the 4th of December to do so!
